Minister holds open court

LAHORE, June 7: The Punjab government is working to rehabilitate the poor on a permanent basis as part of its poverty alleviation strategy. This was stated by Punjab Health Minister Dr Tahir Ali Javed while speaking at an open court at Muslim League House on Tuesday.

The minister said the practice of holding of open courts had been restored so that difficulties of the general public could be solved immediately. He said the presence of officials of departments concerned in open courts would be ensured to redress grievances at the spot.

Dr Javed said the federal budget was reflective of the poor-friendly policies, priority areas of the government and usher in a new era of economic uplift.

The minister also issued orders on telephone.
