Later addressing a Press conference, office bearers of Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Qutubuddin Shaikh, Hussain Bux Abbasi, Choudhry Sajid Hussain and others said that their struggle would continue till acceptance of their demands threatening to march up to railway station and Hesco office if their demands were not considered.
Similar demonstrations were also staged in Ahmedpur and Kanhar Morr on Sunday against load-shedding, disconnection of power supply and detection bills.
Our Thatta correspondent adds: To cover line losses, Hesco is restoring to an unannounced load-shedding since last one month victimizing the residents of Mirpur Bathoro taluka. As a result of the load-shedding, the citizens of the taluka are sustaining an unbearable financial loss.
Spreading over a period of ten to 14 hours almost daily, the breakdown has caused a severe financial loss particularly to small traders, labourers and workers.
The citizens also took out processions and complained to the Hesco high-ups but to no avail.
In fact the local Hesco employees, instrumental in the shutdown, are the major beneficiaries who after getting their palms greased, restore power to particular areas.
