A citizen has moved the Lahore High Court to defer the election in NA-127 citing Maryam Nawaz's incarceration following the accountability court verdict in the Avenfield reference.

The petitioner, Imran Butt, is a resident of NA-127.

The Election Commission delayed elections for NA-60 after Hanif Abbasi was punished, but didn't delay the NA-127 poll after Maryam was disqualified, the petitioner has argued.
