Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Akram Khan Durrani has survived a second attack in less than 10 days — this time in the Basia area of Bannu.

According to police officials, the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam — Fazl (JUI-F) leader was going to address a political convention.

On July 13, Durrani had survived a bomb explosion near his convoy in Bannu. Four people had lost their lives in that attack while 23 others were injured.
