‘PML-N is guarantee for country’s bright future’

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Rana Mashood Ahmad has said that debarring political leadership from political arena by “judicial verdicts is not in the national interest as political decisions should be taken by the parliament”.

Addressing a press conference here in a local hotel on Tuesday, Rana Mashood also claimed that his party workers were being killed.

PML-N Sindh president Shah Mohammad Shah, general secretary Senator Saleem Zia and other local leaders were also present.

The PML-N leader referred to the murder of Nisar Arain and Abid Tanoli and asked what message was being given to them by elimination of their workers.

He said that by such actions PML-N’s popularity could not be reduced because “PML-N is a guarantee for the bright future of the country”.

He claimed that the 2018 elections would give better results in Sindh and no government could be formed in Sindh without the PML-N.

Referring to the conviction of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, he said that she was given a seven-year sentence “merely for criticising those who were dictating the events”.

He said Maryam was the daughter of the country who was returning home on July 13 along with her father for the supremacy of the Constitution and survival of democracy.

“A big welcome awaits them, which will turn out to be historic.”

He asked the government not to try to create hurdles in the welcome.

Shah Mohammad Shah said that political situation was changing swiftly and on July 13 the history of the country was going to be changed as entire Pakistan would be in Lahore to join Nawaz Sharif to raise the flag of democracy.
