MULTAN, June 2: The Lahore High Court, Multan bench, held in abeyance the transfer order of the Nishter Medical College and Hospital orthopaedic surgeon accused of sexually harassing a female patient. The surgeon was directed by the S&GAD to report to the secretariat a few days ago. In his petition, he reportedly took stance that the government could not transfer an official in the last year of his or her reaching the age of superannuation.
The petitioner made the chief secretary, health secretary and the NMC&H principal respondents.
The NMC&H principal Prof Dr Shabbir Nasir confirmed that his office had received the court order.
