Transgender independent candidate Nadeem Kashish addressed a press conference in Islamabad today, asking voters to give her a shot.

“Give me a chance,” Nadeem Kashish pleads with voters in Islamabad. She says her struggle is not for power — she knows her campaign is futile — but for acceptance, as 13 transgenders make historic bids in the upcoming election.

In an earlier interview with Dawn, Kashish had said "only with participation of transgender people will democracy be complete".
