LAHORE, May 28: The Labour Party has opposed privatization of the agency (Wasa) responsible for city’s water supply and sanitation problems. It has threatened to hold countrywide demonstrations if authorities do not withdraw the decision.

Speaking at a public meeting in Shalimar Town area here on Saturday, secretary-general Farooq Tariq said so far the privatization process had benefited the rich only.
