PESHAWAR, May 26: Homoeopathic doctors and the district government are planning to set up clinics in different parts of the district, and the district government has allocated a large amount of money in the budget for the purpose.
This was disclosed by the district Nazim, Peshawar, Mr Azam Afridi, while addressing a function at which gold medals were given to outstanding students of the Frontier Homoeopathic College Hayatabad on Thursday.
The district Nazim said that concrete steps had been taken for building homoeopathic clinics in various localities of the district. He stressed upon homoeopathic students to spread their experience to each and every community and not to restrain themselves only to their clinics and homes in order that the maximum number of people could benefit from homoeopathic medicines.
Mr Afridi assured homoeopathic doctors that they could be adjusted on the post of health visitors in the next financial budget.
He claimed the homoeopathic way of treatment was the best treatment and had no side-effects as compared to allopathic medicines. Earlier, the vice-principal of the Frontier Homoeopathic College, Colonel Shaheen, presented an address of welcome and highlighted the aims and objectives of the homoeopathic way of treatment and the creation of homoeopathic centres in district Peshawar.
The district Nazim distributed gold medals among outstanding students for their curricular and extra-curricular activities. Earlier, homoeopathic doctors and the Nazim, Hayatabad, Nawab Khattak, also spoke and assured the district Nazim of creating two homoeopathic centres at two community centres at Hayatabad.
