THATTA, May 22: Chief Minister of Sindh, Arbab Ghulam Rahim, has said that the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) will sweep the upcoming local bodies elections in the province. Addressing a gathering of party workers at Naka ground late on Saturday night, the chief minister said the serving nazims were rendering public service without any discrimination boosting the image of the party.
He said the government was taking concrete steps in the area of agriculture which includes revamping of riverine network.
He assured the people that he would recommend to the federal government to waive agricultural loans of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank in Thatta and Badin districts and for the provision of gas in different towns particularly, Mirpur Bathoro.
He disclosed that in the next budget ample funds have been earmarked for development schemes.
The chief minister announced a package of Rs50 million for Thatta district for various development schemes.
He also announced to set up four girls colleges for coastal towns of Jati, Chuhar Jamali, Mirpur Sakro and Mirpur Bathoro besides a boys college for Jherruk town.
