NORTHAMPTON (England), May 21: Bangladesh could take heart from the first day of the match against Northamptonshire ahead of the first Test at Lord’s, holding the English county to 149-5. In a rain-hit day at Northampton where only 35 overs were played, Bangladesh’s right-arm paceman Anwar Hossain put himself into contention for Test selection, taking three of the first five wickets.

He bowled Tom Huggins before having Tim Roberts and Riki Wessels caught behind.
