DADU, May 15: A heavy contingent of police raided the Dano Chandio village in the Kachho area on Sunday and arrested four bandits after an encounter which lasted for three hours. Those arrested were identified as Abid, Mohammad Hussain, Dildar and Sanaullah Chandio. Police also recovered five guns, 100 cartridges and five motorcycles from their possession.

Police claimed that 30 cases were registered against the bandits in Dadu, Larkana and Naushahro Feroze.

Manchhar: An official at the emergency base of the Dadu southern irrigation division has said 880 cusecs of water was released from the Manchhar Lake into the River Indus on Sunday.

Talking to journalists, the official, Ayaz Ahmad, said the water level at Manchhar was 108.65RL on Sunday.

He said 30,150 cusecs of water was flowing at downstream Sukkur Barrage and 60,070 cusecs at upstream.
