GUJRANWALA, May 11: Teachers of elementary and secondary schools continued their hunger strike on the second day here on Wednesday in favour of their demands. They set up a camp at Government Iqbal High School and announced march toward Islamabad on May 20.

Speaking on the occasion, Muttahida Mahaz Asatza leader Abdul Rashid Nagra and office-bearers of other teacher organizations asked their colleagues in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad, Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin to gather at Lal Mosque in Islamabad on May 19 to march towards Parliament House on May 20. They criticized the government for not accepting their genuine demands. — Correspondent
