Constable injured by dacoits

SIALKOT, May 9: A police constable was injured seriously by three dacoits near Chitta Khou village, Kotli Loharan, here on Sunday night. Reports said the gangsters were looting the people near the village when Kotli Loharan police constables Zulfiqar and Yousaf riding a motorcycle reached there. The dacoits held the policemen hostage, took away official rifle from Yousaf and shot injured Zulfiqar on offering resistance.

The injured constable was admitted to DHQ hospital in a critical condition.

FOUND MURDERED: Industrial worker Shehzad Iqbal (22) was found murdered in Nadwai-Zafarwal village on Sunday night.

KILLED: Railway employee Muhammad Ilyas was allegedly killed by two men over a monetary dispute at his official residence here on Monday.

Kotwali police have registered a case against accused Irfan with no arrest. Mr Ilyas was father of five children and belonged to Rayyah village, Narowal.
