QUETTA, May 7: The condition of two protesters, who are on hunger strike unto death, is fast deteriorating and doctors have asked them to shift to hospital. The hunger strike of the former MQM and PML-Q members, Ataullah Kurd and Abdullah Achakzai, entered fifth day on Saturday against the arrest of BSO members in Karachi. They were demanding that the Sindh government should release them forthwith or produce them before the court else they would continue the hunger strike.
Eight members of the Baloch Students Organization were arrested by the Karachi police on March 24.
A team of doctors on Saturday visited the camp and said that their blood pressure was dropping. The team advised them either to shift to hospital or undergo some medical treatment, which they refused.
The two protesters, who had established the hunger strike camp in front of the press club, while taking to reporters condemned the Sindh government’s inhuman treatment.
PARLIAMENTARY BODY: PML Balochistan Senior Vice-President Noor Khan Tareen advocate has said that parliamentary committee recommendations on Balochistan issues would resolve the problems of the province which had remained outstanding since long.
Speaking at a conference in the press club here on Thursday when Yaqoob Khan Ghilzai advocate and others joined the party, Mr Tareen lauded the role played by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Syed Mushahid Hussain for finalizing the proposals of the parliamentary committee that would settle issues.
