Protest in Karachi as boy goes missing

KARACHI: A protest was held in the Burnes Road area on Friday night after a 10-year-old boy went missing, according to witnesses and officials.

They said that the residents of the popular food street came out on the main road and lit bonfires, disrupting the traffic. Contingents of the police and Rangers rushed to the area to bring the situation under control.

Saddar SP Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem told Dawn that the boy was a student of a seminary in the area. He went to the madressah at around 11am but did not return home.

The parents lodged a missing report for him with the Aram Bagh police station and the police were looking into the matter.
