PESHAWAR, May 4: The authorities will on Thursday deport 16 Afghans who were arrested in Karachi on charges of staying in the country illegally. An official said the illegal immigrants were brought to the central prison here on Wednesday.

He said they would be handed over to Afghan authorities at Torkham checkpoint.

Last week, 20 Afghans arrested in different cities in Punjab were deported.—Bureau
