NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 3: Different areas of the district received heavy rain followed by a thunderstorm on Monday night. A number of trees were uprooted in Naushahro Feroze, Moro, New Jatoi, Tharushah, Bhirya, Kandiaro and Halani and electricity was suspended for several hours.

In Bhirya taluka power could not be restored till the filing of the report.

The standing and harvested wheat crop lying in open fields throughout the district was badly affected.

Mango, dates and lemon orchards were also affected.
