Officials suspended

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 20: Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani on Sunday suspended acting medical superintendent Dr Javed Iqbal and in-charge medical ward Dr Habibullah Gandapur along with his entire staff during a visit to the DHQ teaching hospital.

Mr Durrani was accompanied by MMA secretary-general Maulana Fazlur Rehman. They expressed concern over the poor cleanliness condition and the prevailing state of affairs of the hospital.

Later, the chief minister also visited the under construction Mufti Mehmood Hospital. He also went to Gomal Medical College and exchanged views with the students protesting at the non-recognition of the college by the authority concerned.
