SADIQABAD, Aug 23: The district police claimed on Saturday to have arrested a proclaimed offender carrying Rs300,000 bounty on his head.

Police said Hafiz Muhammad Aslam and his two accomplices shot dead Shahbaz Husain Shirazi, a sub-inspector of police, at Chishtian three years ago. A court declared him proclaimed offender and fixed Rs300,000 bounty.

Aslam was about to make for Karachi when a police team, led by an information, held him in Liaquatpur.
