Met observatory to be set up in Mirpurkhas

MIRPURKHAS, Aug 23: The Sindh government is considering to establish a meteorological observatory in the city as in the absence of one reliable data regarding weather could not be collected.

A team, comprising officers Arif Mahmood, chief meteorologist Naeem Shah, and director Abdul Razaque Siyal will visit Mirpurkhas soon to select a suitable place for an office.

In this connection, the DCO, Mirpurkhas, Dr Mohammad Siddique Memon, was also directed to select a suitable place.—Correspondent
