DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 17: Twelve candidates have filed nomination papers for by-elections of Nazim of Kulachi tehsil and Naib Nazim of Dera Ismail Khan tehsil.

The two seats had become vacant when the incumbents were elected to the provincial assembly. The by-polls will be held on Sept 8.

For the Kulachi Nazim’s office, five candidates have filed nomination papers. They include Aftab Ahmed Gandapur, Tehsinullah Gandapur, Habibur Rehman, Sheikh Ikramullah and Hidayatullah Gandapur.

For Dera Ismail Khan Naib Nazim’s slot, seven candidates are in the run. They are Ghazanfar Khan Alizai, Inamul Haq Ghaznikhel, Mohammad Qayyum Alizai, Zahid Mohibullah advocate, Qaisar Khan Miankhel, Arshad Saleem and Khan Zaman.
