ISLAMABAD, Aug 16: Advance technical skill-oriented training is imperative to further enhance the technical expertise of the Pakistan Air Force in the wake of rapidly changing technologies, said Prof Dr Farid A. Khwaja, the director-general, National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE), on Saturday.
He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a six-week e- commerce and visual basic computer training course launched on the directives of the ministry of education. Senior management of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, attended the course.
Dr Khawaja said NISTE was established by the ministry of education to equip different organizations and individual with modern techniques.
He said in the past a large number of officials of the technical establishment from the PAF were imparted training in the fields of diesel engine repair and calibration of injectors, power (diesel) generators, high pressure compressing plants and advance air-conditioning. Certificates were distributed among the officials while the group leader of the trainees presented the insignia of an aircraft to the chief guest.
