App launched to monitor police’s legal affairs

LAHORE: The Punjab police on Tuesday launched Police Legal Affairs Monitoring App for timely completion of cases and monitoring of the work of officers pursuing these cases in the courts.

In the first initiative of its kind, the app would keep senior officials, including regional police officers (RPOs) and district police officers (DPOs) updated about the number of cases pending with courts and their status.

Introducing this app, Inspector General of Punjab Police retired Capt Arif Nawaz directed the officials concerned to upload through app the information relevant to the court cases concerning the department.

The instructions were issued in a meeting exclusively called to brief police command about the latest IT-related initiatives.
