Indian allegation rejected

KARACHI: Pakistan Army on Thursday rejected Indian claim that it had targeted civilian population across the Line of Control (LoC) in India-held Kashmir.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the accusation was conveyed by the Indian director general military operations during a hotline contact which was made with his Pakistani counterpart on Indian officials’ request.

“Pakistan Army is a professional force and considers it absolutely unethical to target the civil population, more so when our own Pakistani Kashmiris live across (LoC).

“Pakistan Army targets only those Indian posts which initiate firing on innocent civilians,” the ISPR director general said.
