HYDERABAD, Jan 4: The chairman of Mian Ghulam Shah Historical and Cultural Society Hyderabad, Aslam Abbasi has appealed to the president, the Sindh governor, the secretary of Culture and Tourism, and the district Nazim, Hyderabad, to save the tomb of Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro, a former ruler of Sindh and founder of Hyderabad.

In a statement, he said that the tomb of Mian Sahib was in a dilapidated condition.

He said that Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro was not only the founder of Hyderabad city but a great architect of Sindh as he had developed irrigation, agriculture, the communication sector, and rendered yeomen services in the field of literature and human resources.

He said that tourists, delegates, research scholars from various universities of Pakistan and other countries came to visit historical places but no basic facilities including electricity and water were available there.

He appealed to the government to have the tomb repaired.
