SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 9: Two teenaged boys accused of robbing and killing a 69-year-old Pakistani, Anwar Sheikh, in Detroit have been charged with murder.

Police said that the two teenagers — 17-year-old Christopher Hopkins, and a 16-year-old unnamed boy — attacked Mr Sheikh and his brother Dr Aslam Sheikh, 66. The 16-year-old boy will be identified once he is arraigned as an adult.

Anwar Sheikh, who immigrated to the United States from Pakistan in 1989 and became a US citizen in 1996, died shortly after being beaten. His brother was treated at a hospital and released.
