LAHORE: A six-week long Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) Under-19 Cricket Academy programme will start at the LCCA Ground here from July 10.

Physical fitness, batting, bowling and fielding training will be provided to Lahore Region Blues and Whites teams during the programme.

LRCA president Khawaja Nadeem has appointed Sajjad Akbar as head coach to run the academy programme. Nadeem had assured Sajjad of all kind of facilities for the academy and strictly advise the coaching staff not to compromise on fitness of the players.

He also announced that cash prizes would be given to super fit players of the academy.

Sajjad briefed the LRCA president that players would be trained in morning and evening sessions, besides arranging a number of practice matches between the two teams.
