LAHORE, Aug 8: Punjab Agriculture Minister Arshad Khan Lodhi said on Friday that the government had decided to restore development funds of market committees.
The funds had been frozen for the last three years and development projects like roads, sewerage and streetlights suspended. According to the latest decision, elected members of market committees were being empowered to approve development projects worth Rs50,000.
The minister claimed that all market committees had been asked to provide wheat thrashers, spray machines and drill machines to growers at subsidized rates.
