GUJRANWALA, Aug 7: As there has been no rain in the district and its suburbs for the last three days, the water level kept receding in the Chenab and all the drains on Thursday.

According to reports, at least two dozen villages of Wahando and Kamoki tehsils were affected because of overflowing nullahs Deg and Khot. The district administration arranged

motorboats to shift the residents of these tehsils to relief camps.

Meanwhile, District Health officer Dr Saeedullah visited flood affected areas in Wahando and Kamoki, and reviewed the situation. — Correspondent
