LARKANA, Aug 5: The shopkeepers of Resham Gali held a protest demonstration on Tuesday against the Taluka Nazim for the poor sanitary conditions of the city.

They said that despite repeated requests, the Taluka Nazim was paying no heed towards their problem as the stagnant water was having negative effects on their business.

They converged at the Royal Chowk after marching through the main roads of the city. Later, they demonstrated outside the press club, holding banners and placards.

Meanwhile, the Taluka Nazim has handed over the sanitary staff’s control to the members of the council so that they could deal with the issue.

ELECTROCUTED: A peasant, Mohammed Mithal Shaikh, was electrocuted in the Joya village, near Kambar, while he was working in his field.

INJURED: Three armed motorcyclists opened fire at Soonharo Jamali near Dokri on Tuesday as a result of which he was injured.
