QUETTA, Aug 3: The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Quetta, announced the results of First and Second Year Intermediate (Science) Examination, 2003, here on Sunday.

Ms Nazia Idress, Roll No 30795 of the Islamia Girls Collage, Quetta, clinched the First Position in the province with 925 marks. The Second Position went to Amjad Ali, Roll No 27471 of Tameer-i- Nau Public Collage, Quetta, who obtained 939 marks.

Ms Sania Yaqoob, Roll No 31550 of the Islamia Girls Collage, Quetta, clinched the Third Position in the province. She got 936 marks.

The Chairman of Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Prof Fazal Bari, while announcing the results at a Press Conference, said that in the First Year, 3940 male students appeared in the examination out of which 708 passed and the pass percentage was 17.97. In the First Year, 1671 female students took part in the examination and 528 succeeded and the pass percentage was 31.60.

In the Second Year Science examinations, 4095 male students appeared in the examination and 1934 succeeded and the pass percentage was 47.23 per cent while out 1856 girls students, 1045 passed the exams and the pass percentage stood at 56.30 per cent.
