KARACHI, Aug 3: Haji Abdul Ghaffar Khattak, father of Dr Jabbar Khattak, chief editor of the daily Awami Awaz and secretary-general of the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors, died of heart failure here on Sunday. He was 75.

His funeral prayers were attended by relatives prominent political and social workers, editors of newspapers, and journalists. He was buried in the Mewa Shah graveyard after the Maghrib prayers.

Fateha Soyem for the departed soul will be held on Tuesday between Asr and Maghrib prayers at his residence adjacent to the Spencer Eye Hospital, Siddique Wahab Road.
