Islamabad police file two cases of physical abuse involving minor girls

Police on Thursday filed two separate cases involving physical abuse and molestation of minor girls in the federal capital.

The Noon Police Station received a physical abuse complaint involving a nine-year-old girl, DawnNews reported.

An unidentified man reportedly fled after physically assaulting the minor, police sources said. Police later filed a case against an unknown assailant after the girl's medical examination.

Another case was filed in the Sabzi Mandi Police Station against a suspect who allegedly tried to assault and molest an 11-year-old.

The underage girl started shouting when the suspect tried to abuse her, upon which passersby were alerted and were able to nab the culprit. The accused was handed over to the police.

Earlier, a girl was also reported kidnapped from the Togh Bala area of Kohat by a gang who lured her by promising her marriage to a young man, police said.
