Sugar mill owes Rs40m to farmers

TOBA TEK SINGH, July 27: The Kissan Board has warned that if the management of the Chaudhry Sugar Mills did not clear outstanding dues, Gojra area farmers would be forced to launch an agitation. In a press statement on Sunday, Kissan Board general secretary Muhammad Arshad claimed the mills (owned by the Sharif family) owed Rs40 million to growers.

TRAINING: At least 2,800 primary teachers of the district will be trained for teaching English in government primary schools. This was disclosed on Sunday by district education officer (elementary) Chaudhry Yaqub.
