RAWALPINDI, Dec 30: The best way to pay tributes to Madar-i- Millat Fatima Jinnah is to follow in her footsteps.
This was stated by the vice chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Prof Najma Najam, while speaking at a prize distribution ceremony arranged by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education here.
Ms Najam said Fatima Jinnah had dedicated all her life to Pakistan Movement and gave useful pieces of advice to her brother, Quaid-e-Azam.
The FJWU VC highlighted the importance of education and said the people braving all challenges in their pursuit for education always met success. Learning is a life-long process; it never completes; it never ends, she said.
Chairman BISE Aziz Ahmad Hashmi said the function was organized just at the end of the current year in order to make Madar-i-Millat Year a memorable one. He paid tributes to Fatima Jinnah.
The function was organised to award prizes to the winners of an essay competition arranged by the Board among the students of various schools and colleges of Rawalpindi division. The competition was in both Urdu and English languages. The Board received about 300 essays from students of different educational institutions.
