Jamali for stronger ties with S. Arabia

ISLAMABAD, Dec 30: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will continue to cooperate with each other in combating terrorism.

This was stated by Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali while talking to the ambassador of Saudi Arabia, who called on him in his chamber at the Parliament House, here on Tuesday.

The prime minister said the scourge of terrorism posed a serious threat to the global peace and stability and there was a need to streamline and strengthen efforts aimed at its eradication.

He also hoped that the traditionally closed and cordial relations would be strengthened further with the passage of time.

The ambassador lauded the role being played by Pakistan in war against terror. He also delivered a letter to the Prime Minister from the Saudi Minister for Interior, Prince Naif Bin abdul Aziz Al Saud.

Jordanian envoy, balochistan governor meet PM: The Jordanian ambassador, Dr Fawaz M. Abu Tayeh, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali at the Parliament House on Tuesday and discussed with him matters pertaining to Pak-Jordanian relations.

The ambassador, who has completed his tenure, said Pakistan was just like his second homeland. He also conveyed the good wishes of the Jordanian President and the Prime Minister to Premier Jamali.

The Prime Minister expressed the hope that relations between two countries would go from strength to strength in days to come.

Meanwhile, Balochistan governor Owais Ahmad Ghani met Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali in his chamber at the Parliament House on Tuesday and exchanged views with him on matters relating to the province, especially the ongoing development projects.
