ISLAMABAD, Dec 28: Wapda are to defend their title at the 27th Quaid-e-Azam weightlifting championship that opens at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Tuesday, organisers said.

Muzaffar A. Qureshi, secretary of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation said that there will be competitions in eight bodyweight categories.

Besides Wapda, other teams in the two-day competition are Punjab, Sindh, NWFP, Balochistan, Islamabad, Railways, Army and Police.
