HYDERABAD, Dec 28: Activists of the Sindh National Nari Tehrik will participate in the sit-in to be held outside the British Petroleum Limited office on Jan 8 for employing outsiders.
The decision was taken by the SNNT’s central committee which met here on Saturday.
The meeting also offered shelter to Shaista Almani and demanded that persons, who had made the lives of Ms Almani and Balkhsher Mahar miserable, should be arrested.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh National Party chairman Amir Bhambhro called upon the activists to perform their due role against the male-dominated society and feudal system.
Mr Bhambhro warned that if the demand to arrest the people responsible for destroying the lives of Ms Almani and Mr Mahar was not accepted, the activists of Nari Tehrik would organize a series of hunger strikes throughout the province.
The Nari Tehrik leaders Parvin Memon, Hamida Masood Noonari, Dr Yasmin and others also spoke on the occasion.
Rights movement: The World Sindhi Institute president Makhdoom Zahid has said that rights movement should be launched on scientific lines as nothing could be achieved by merely raising hollow slogans.
Talking to the leaders of Sindh National Council here on Sunday, he said Sindh was discriminated against in water and resource distribution.
SNC leader Hussain Bux Thebo, Dodo Maheri, Chacha Mohammed Ali Leghari and Punhal Sario also spoke on the occasion.
