SUKKUR, Dec 28: Three outlaws were arrested by the Bhambhor Rifles in Sui Gas Field Colony, Kashmor, on Saturday night.
Those arrested were identified as Jamshed, Maroo Khan and Gul Mohammad.
One Klashnikov, one rocket launcher, hand grenades and two landmines were also recovered from their possession.
Sobedar Yar Mohammad, who led the raiding party, told journalists the colony was raided after they received information about the presence of the outlaws there.
He said Maroo Khan was wanted in more than 20 cases in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab. He said he was an expert in making landmines.
SHRINE VISITED: A group of 56 Hindu pilgrims, led by Mukhi Udester Lal, visited the Sadhu Bello shrine here on Sunday.
They earlier attended the annual ceremony at Kunwar Darbar Jarwar in Ghotki.
friendly fire: A police constable was killed in a friendly fire by another constable near Sangi in the jurisdiction of Pano Akil police station on Saturday.
Two constables, on patrol duty, stopped a truck. Constable Haleem Selro asked the driver to show documents which led to an exchange of hot words between them.
Constable Hameed Mirani, who was watching the scene from some distance, thought that the driver was attacking the constable and opened fire.
As a result Selro was killed on the spot.
The police have arrested Mirani.
Landlord killed: A landlord, Nibahoo, was shot dead by 13 bandits on Sunday evening in a village on the Sindh-Punjab border, Shahwali police station jurisdiction, Punjab.
His wife, Razia, received injuries and was admitted to the Kashmor Taluka Hospital.
The bandits had barged into the landlord’s house for robbery but on resistance they opened fire.
