Mati’s Century in vain

KARACHI, Dec 27: Korangi Al-Fateh (KAF) and Pakistan CC (PCC) registered victories in Madre-i-Millat Inter-club cricket tournament on Friday.

Anis Shaikh stroked a fluent unbeaten 56 with six fours and Saqib Zia cracked 51 with seven boundaries as KAF defeated Karachi Eaglets Club (KEC) by 56 runs at Landhi Gymkhana Ground.

At Sakhi Hasan Gymkhana Ground, PCC beat Rangers CC (RCC) by 18 runs despite a gallant hundred by Mati-ur-Rehman with 11 boundaries.

Faraz Khan made 60 with seven fours, Fahad Anjum hit six boundaries in his 56 and Kamran bin Mansoor slammed eight boundaries in his 52 as PCC raced to 263 for nine wickets in 40 overs.

RCC in reply were restricted to 245 for eight wickets in 40 overs. Rizwan Qureshi captured three wickets for 37 runs.
