Pakistan seeks talks on bus agreement

NEW DELHI, Dec 26: Pakistan on Friday proposed to India holding of technical level meeting in Islamabad for the renewal of Delhi-Lahore bus agreement.

According to sources at the Pakistan High Commission here, the agreement which had been signed by New Delhi and Islamabad for five years in Feb, 1999, is expiring in February next year.

The proposal was formally given by Pakistan High Commission to Indian Ministry for External Affairs for sending a delegation in the second week of January to Islamabad to hold a meeting for the renewal of the agreement.

Various issues, related to Delhi-Lahore bus service, including the bus fare and increase in the number of buses, were likely to come under discussion during the meeting, added the sources.—APP
