DERA GHAZI KHAN: Fort Munro, the hill station in the Sulaiman Range, 85km from here, received its first snowfall on Saturday, attracting scores of tourists who reached the place to enjoy the rare snow fall in the region. It is located at 6,470 feet above the sea level.

The snowfall started in the wee hours of Saturday and it covered the mountains in white.

In winters, Fort Munro gives deserted look with its closed markets and local residents shifting to less cold areas like Dera Ghazi Khan and Sakhi Sarwar. The tourists, coming to see snowfall, get no facility at the hill resort.

One of the tourists, Tahir Meraj, talking to Dawn, lamented that the authorities had provided no facilities to the tourists. He demanded the government make the hill resort a tourists spot for all seasons with provision of fuel, gas and other facilities for tourists and shop keepers .
