No more turncoats in PPP: Qasim

LAHORE, Dec 16: Provincial PPP president and opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Qasim Zia says the government will fail to find more turncoats in his party.

He told reporters in his chamber here on Tuesday that disloyal MPs had already abandon the PPP during the government formation process last year and now no more would go with the rulers.

Claiming that besides the ruling PML-Q, some PPP-Patriot members were trying to join the PPP, he however said there was no room for traitors in the party.

Criticizing the government for frequently increasing prices of flour and petrol, he said the participation of masses in the Alliance for Restoration of Democracy’s (ARD) public meeting in Gujranwala should serve as an eye opener for it.

He advised the MMA to be careful in signing any agreement with the government and honour the commitment it had made in the all-party conference at Mansoora in July last.
