Jamaat to enforce ‘Nizam-i-Salat’ in Lower Dir

TIMERGARA: The Jamaat-i-Islami has announced to enforce ‘Nizam-i-Salat’ in Lower Dir.

Speaking at a news conference at the Timergara Press Club on Friday, JI local emir Maulana Asadullah, district nazim Mohammad Rasool Khan and secretary information Yaqub ur Rehman said the district government had finalised all arrangements for making the move a success.

“We are all Muslims and it is our prime duty as rulers to facilitate people in discharging their religious obligation,” Rasool Khan said, adding all stakeholders would be taken on board before implementing the decision. He said all shops in the district would remain closed during prayer timings.

ROAD BLACKTOPPING: Tehsil Naib Nazim, Maidan, Engr Hanifullah Khan on Friday inaugurated blacktopping of Zaimdara road.

On the occasion, the nazim and other speakers said the JI leadership had initiated several developmental projects in different areas of PK-96 constituency. They appreciated MNA Sahibzada Yaqub Khan and MPA Saeed Gul for getting approval of Maidan grid station, establishment of Pesco subdivision office at Lal Qila and construction of link roads.

WOMEN SPORTS: Zonal sports’ competitions among government girls high and higher secondary schools in Lower Dir concluded on Friday.

A function in this regard was held at government girls’ high school, Shawa Adenzai, where district education officer, female, Nusrat Begum was the chief guest.

The GGHS Shawa got first position in march-past and GGHSS Chakdara became first in physical training show.

On the occasion, DEO Nusrat Begum and sports’ committee general secretary Asifa Kanwal asked girl students to take active part in sports and Bazm-i-Adab programmes.

Meanwhile, a delegation of secondary schoolteachers association led by Muhibullah met with chairman BISE Malakand Board Prof Shaukat Ali and informed him about teachers’ problems pertaining to paper marking, appointment of invigilators in examinations and timely payment of dues.

The chairman board said honest and devoted teachers would be appointed as invigilators and supervisors in annual examinations while subject specialists would be assigned the duty of paper marking.
