PESHAWAR, Dec 14: Students of Institute of Business Management and Science, Agriculture University, have announced that they will challenge the administration’s decision to hold examinations on Dec 20. They say that courses have not been completed yet.
Speaking at a news conference here on Saturday, students of MBA and BBA of Institute of Business Administration and Sciences, Agriculture University, Peshawar, said that they had not completed their courses and the administration’s announcement of holding the examination on Dec 20 was an injustice with more than 300 students.
They said that the administration’s decision would badly affect the students.
Amanullah, Arshad Iqbal, Wahab Khan and Jehanzeb, representatives of the students, said that they had been unable to take the examination in view of the frequent closures of the university due to protest demonstrations and Eid holidays. They said the courses had to be completed on Jan 11, 2004, but the administration had notified its schedule for examination on Dec 20.
They claimed that the administration had promised that it would not hold the examination till the completion of the courses, but it had gone back on its promise, which would adversely affect the students. They demanded that examinations should be deferred till the completion of the courses and claimed that no student would take the examination scheduled for Dec 20.
The students said that if the administration did not change the schedule of the examination then they would have no other option but take the matter to the court.
