Two policemen held

LARKANA, Dec 9: Two police constables were sent behind the bars on Tuesday for allegedly killing a villager on the outskirts of Naudero on Monday night.

A police party, deployed at the Salar regulator on the east of the town, opened fire at an approaching tractor, resulting into on spot death of its driver, Bahadur Ali, 30, son of Abdul Hameed Jeho, resident of the Allahando Jeho village.

Abdul Ghani Jeho, Qurban Ali Abro and Abdul Hameed Jeho, who were also riding on the tractor, escaped unhurt.

People from nearby villages, after hearing the firing, arrived at the scene and observed protest against the police, demanding to arrest the alleged killers of the villager.

The protesters blocked the road after which the DPO, Abdul Majeed, arrived at the spot and assured them that an FIR would be registered against the accused.

Abdul Hameed, the father of the killed villager, lodged an FIR with the Naudero police.—BoC
