LAHORE, Dec 8: An accountability court on Monday dismissed PPP secretary-general Jehangir Badr’s application for amending chargesheet against him.
Mr Badr, in his application, had submitted that the Lahore High Court had acquitted him in the Amin Brothers case, hence the accountability court should strike the charge from the chargesheet.
However, the defence counsel could not substantiate his point and the court rejected the application for amending the chargesheet.
Jehangir Badr is accused of misusing his authority as federal minister for petroleum and natural resources during 1989-90 and acquiring assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.—APP
