Three ’71 War shells found, defused

SIALKOT, Dec 7: The Civil Defence Bomb Disposal Squad has defused three locally-made mortar shells found by a farmer near the border village of Chira-Laiser.

According to official sources, Muhammad Sharif found three rusting mortar shells in his fields. He informed the Chenab Rangers, who in turn called in the bomb disposal squad.

The sources added that the shells were used by the Pakistan Army in the 1971 War.
