HYDERABAD, Dec 6: The Sindh Water Committee has prepared a case of the province on the water issue, which will be sent to the comity of nations, international donor agencies and politicians.
This was stated by SWC president Rasool Bux Palijo while briefing newsmen at the conclusion of the committee meeting held here on Friday.
He said that the SWC had rejected the constitution of the technical committee on the water issue and added that those who were supporting the Kalabagh dam and the greater Thal canal were betraying the cause of Sindh.
He said that the case of Sindh on the water issue had been posted on a website and added that the case would be sent to the United Nations, different embassies, international financial organizations and politicians.
Mr Palijo, who is also the chief of the Awami Tehrik and a leader of the Anti-Greater Thal Canal Action Committee, said that the case was based on the water controversy between Sindh and Punjab spread over 150 years.—Bureau
